COLLEGE PARK, Md. – No. 17/16 Maryland (11-3, 2-1 B1G) will open a two-game road swing with an 8 p.m. ET matchup at Iowa (11-3, 2-1) Thursday night. The Terps-Hawkeyes matchup will be televised on the Big Ten Network.

Maryland owns the all-time series over Iowa, 6-3. The Hawkeyes took both matchups last year - 86-73 in Iowa City on Feb. 17 and 90-76 in the Big Ten Championship game on March 10. Prior to that, the Terps had won six straight in the series.

Brenda Frese grew up in Cedar Rapids, less than 30 miles from the University of Iowa.
Last time out, the Terrapins used a second half surge to beat Ohio State, 72-62, Monday night in College Park. They trailed the Buckeyes, 42-35 at the breakr, then buckled down on defense to hold Ohio State to just 20 points in the second half.
Kaila Charles scored 18 of her 28 points in the second half.
Blair Watson added eight points with seven rebounds and seven steals.
Charles currently has 1,723 career points and 800 rebounds. She is one of just six Terps to reach 1,700 career points and grab 800 rebounds. She joined Vicky Bullett, Crystal Langhorne, Alyssa Thomas, Brionna Jones and Marissa Coleman.
Blair Watson has made 171 career threes. She is sixth on Maryland's all-time list and needs to make two to pass Marissa Coleman (2006-09) and Tiffany Brown (1997-99) at No. 4.
After Thursday's game, Maryland will play at No. 24 Michigan (11-3, 2-1) Sunday at noon. The Terps-Wolverines game will be televised on ESPN2.
