CONWAY, S.C. -- The Maryland baseball team fell to Coastal Carolina, 16-0, on Friday night at Springs Brooks Stadium in Conway, South Carolina. Maryland was limited at the plate by Chanticleer ace Zach McCambley, who allowed just two hits in five scoreless frames while striking out six.

• Coastal Carolina right hander Zach McCambley lived up to his Friday night starting role, tossing five innings of scoreless ball, allowing just two hits while striking out six batters.
• The Chanticleers' bullpen provided more of the same, allowing just two more hits while striking out a combined five and retaining the shutout.
• Maxwell Costes continued upon his sensational start to the season, delivering two of Maryland's four hits.
• Freshman Matt Orlando got the first hit of his career, a line drive single over the first baseman in the fifth inning.
• Michael Pineiro got his first hit of the season.
• Terps' starter Sean Fisher tossed three innings, allowing 11 runs on 10 hits. Nine of those were earned. The junior also struck out three.
• Trevor LaBonte pitched an inning and a third of relief.
• Mike Vasturia tossed three and a third innings of relief, striking out five while walking just one. Vasturia allowed two runs on six hits in his season debut.
