No. 19 Maryland Set for Meet With No. 14 Nebraska

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The No. 19 Maryland gymnastics team travels to Lincoln, Neb. this weekend to compete against No. 14 Nebraska on Saturday, February 8 at 8 p.m. ET at the Devaney Center. The meet will be available to stream on BTN Plus. Fans who plan to attend the meet can purchase tickets online here.

The all-time record between the Cornhuskers and the Terrapins is 7-1 in favor of Nebraska. Since joining the Big Ten, the Terps have met with the Huskers four times with a 1-4 record.

Entering their sixth meet of the season, the GymTerps are 5-1 overall record and 2-1 in the Big Ten. After week five, Maryland is averaging 195.750 team score. They currently sit at No. 19 in the nation overall and are ranked nationally in three events: vault (18), bars (10) and floor exercise (24). 

Freshman Emma Silberman is ranked 35th nationally in the all-around. In Big Ten rankings, she currently is ranked 10th in the all-around, 15th on beam and 25th on floor exercise. In Maryland's last meet against Illinois, Silberman won first place with an all-around score of 39.150. Her impressive performance earned her Terp of the Week honors. 

The Nebraska Cornhuskers are currently ranked No. 14 in the nation. The Huskers are coming off a season-best team performance earning a score of 196.975 in a loss to Michigan. Nebraska's best events are vault and floor where they are nationally ranked No. 6 and No. 7 respectively. The Huskers all-around season-high is a 197.100.
