COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The third-ranked Maryland men's lacrosse team (2-0) will host Johns Hopkins (1-1) on Saturday, March 6 for the 113
th meeting in the greatest rivalry in the sport of lacrosse.
The game will faceoff at 1 p.m. and will be streamed on Big Ten Network Plus.
Maryland is fresh off a 13-7 victory over Penn State on February 26, led by a seven-point performance from Jared Bernhardt (3G, 4A) and stifling defensive effort. The Terrapins moved up to the No. 3 spot in both the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll and USILA Coaches Poll this week.

Jared Bernhardt became just the sixth player in program history to hit the 200-point mark at Maryland with his third goal of the night against Penn State on February 26. Bernhardt joins an illustrious cast of Maryland greats in the 200 point club in Matt Rambo (257), Bob Boneillo (231), Joe Walters (227), Ray Altman (214) and Frank Urso (208).
MALTZ IS MONEY

Daniel Maltz totaled a team-best nine goals for Maryland this season, opening the year with five vs. Michigan and four against Penn State. Maltz has been one of the most efficient shooters in the nation this season, scoring on 9 of 11 shots for an 81.8% clip – good for fourth nationwide.

Saturday resumes one of the longest standing rivalries in college lacrosse, when Maryland and Johns Hopkins meet for the 113th time in a series that dates back to Maryland's first varsity season in 1924. The rivalry trophy will be on the line twice in 2021 with two regular season games scheduled between the two schools. Maryland has won three of the five games in which the trophy has been awarded with wins in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
10 is the magic number under tillman
- After defeating Penn State 13-7 on February 26 Maryland has now won 27 consecutive games when allowing an opponent under 10 goals dating back to the 2017 National Championship season. Maryland has been a tough out under head coach John Tillman when allowing under 10 goals, posting a 100-11 record under Tillman since 2011.

Sophomore goalie Logan McNaney turned in his best career performance as a Terp at Penn State, making a career-high 16 saves while allowing just seven goals. McNaney currently ranks in the top-10 nationally in both save percentage (8th – 57.9%) and goals against average (7th – 8.21) while scoring 16.50 goals per game (T-7th)
