COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The No. 9 Maryland women's lacrosse team is back in action for Senior Day as the Terps host No. 23 Rutgers at the Field Hockey and Lacrosse Complex on Thursday, April 8 at 5:00 p.m. The game will air on the Big Ten Network with Mark Dixon and Courtney Connor on the call.

SENIOR DAY
LOCKDOWN LIZZIE
- A two-time IWLCA Third Team All-American and the No. 14 ranked player in all of lacrosse by Inside Lacrosse, redshirt senior Lizzie Colson leads the Maryland defense with her 128 career groundballs, 280 career draw controls and 70 career caused turnovers.
- Colson has been named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week twice and was the IWLCA National Defensive Player of the Week after totaling 16 draw controls, nine groundballs and six caused turnovers against Ohio State.
- The graduate student leads the Big Ten and ranks top-10 in the country in both caused turnovers per game (2.75) and groundballs per game (3.50)
HISTORIC HANNAH
- Attacker Hannah Leubecker has starred for the Terps offensively through eight games this season, leading the Terps with 35 goals, the most goals by a Terp through eight games since at least 1993.
- Leubecker stands seventh in the country, averaging 4.38 goals per game.
- The sophomore has at least two goals in every game Maryland has played this season and has at least four goals in five of the eight games, with two seven goal games.
- Leubecker stands second in the Big Ten and leads the Terps with a .547 shooting percentage.

- The Terps will play a Big Ten only schedule in 2021, playing each of the six conference opponents twice over the course of the season.
- Since Maryland joined the Big Ten in 2015, the Terps are 33-3 in conference play with five Big Ten Regular Season Championships.
- Including the postseason, the Terps are 43-5 against Big Ten competition since 2015.
SERIES HISTORY
- Maryland leads the all-time series with Rutgers, 22-8.
- Maryland and Rutgers last met on March 30, 2019 in Piscataway, with the Terps beating the Scarlet Knights, 20-3. 13 different players scored goals for the Terps, which saw Cathy Reese tie former Maryland coach Cindy Timchal for the most wins in program history.
- Brindi Griffin led Maryland, tying a career-high with four goals to lead the way for the 13 different goal scorers. Jen Giles, Meghan Siverson, Kylie Davis and Hannah Glaros all had two goals in the win.
