Throughout the summer and fall, umterps.com will profile a different member of the Maryland women's soccer team leading up to the 2021 season. This week we'll get to know sophomore Krista Varrichione, a sophomore goalkeeper from Bristol, R.I. Varrichione got her first taste of collegiate soccer this past spring, playing in four games with three starts during the Terps' spring season. Â

What attracted you to the University of Maryland?
The beautiful campus, academics, and the soccer team including the coaches and players.
If you could play another sport at Maryland what would it be?
I would play lacrosse because I played lacrosse since first grade until my senior year of high school and the team here is amazing!
What is your favorite memory from playing soccer?Â
My favorite memory from playing soccer is traveling and creating memories with my teammates.
What has been the most impactful lesson learned or discovery you made about yourself during the pandemic?
