Analyst

Steve Suter, Maryland's all-time leader in punt return yards and return touchdowns, has been named the new color analyst for the Maryland Sports Radio Network football broadcasts in 2021. Suter, who co-hosted the weekly Maryland football coaches radio show from 2014-18, will reunite with the legendary "Voice of the Terps" Johnny Holliday to call all Maryland football games in 2021. Holliday, a 2009 inductee to the Maryland Athletics Hall of Fame, is entering his 43rd season calling Terrapin football and men's basketball games.

Concessions

Starting at the football home opener on Sept. 4, fans can enjoy Ledo Pizza for the first time at stadium concession stands. The special in-stadium offering of eight-inch cheese and pepperoni pizzas is located at sections 10, 20 and 205.

Go-Go

Heroes Games

Honoring Healthcare Heroes (Sept. 4 vs. West Virginia): We're able to reunite for the 2021 season because of our Healthcare Heroes! Healthcare workers will receive discounted tickets to the game for just $23. For more information or to purchase tickets, please click here.

Honoring Hometown Heroes (Sept. 11 vs. Howard): Police officers, firefighters, first responders, and military personnel will receive discounted tickets to the game, including $13 Upper Level tickets or $28 Lower Level Tickets. Military Appreciation Day (Nov. 6 vs Penn State): Join Maryland Football as we honor our nation's heroes with special recognitions throughout the PSU game, including an Armed Forces Salute performed at halftime by the Mighty Sound of Maryland and the Penn State Blue Band.

Instagramable Moments/Murals

A new "Maryland Made" mural has been installed on the concourse behind Section 13, joining the "Go Terps" mural previously installed behind Section 20. If you're a University graduate, a Maryland resident, or just a Terp through and through, this is the mural for you. 3... 2... 1… Say, "Go Terps!"

Jones-Hill House

Maryland opened Jones-Hill House this summer, the nation's premiere college football facility. Named after two legendary trailblazing Terps (Billy Jones and Darryl Hill), this facility is a must-see. Make sure you're in the stadium prior to kickoff to witness the Terps make their way to the field through a 300-foot underground tunnel that connects Jones-Hill House to the bronze shell at the corner of the field.
 

Kids Activities

New this year, members of Testudo's Kids Club have the opportunity to be selected as the Testudo's Kids Club Kickoff Captain prior to every home football game! Prior to each game, the Kickoff Captain will join Testudo and members of the Maryland Cheer team on the field to be recognized on the video board. Also, don't miss out on taking a photo with everyone's favorite mascot, Testudo! Testudo will be available for photos at Terp Alley, which has been relocated to Legacy Plaza near Riggs Alumni Center and Lot Z, two hours prior to kickoff.

Looney's & Ledos

If you're looking for your next stop in College Park look no further than Ledo Pizza and Looneys Pub. Ledo Pizza, the Official Pizza of the Maryland Terrapins, has reopened in College Park! Looneys Pub, the host of Talking Terps with Coach Locks is another great stop before or after a game!

The "M"

Those driving onto campus at its main entrance will quickly realize a campus landmark has been relocated. The M Circle, which was at the intersection of Campus and Regent Drives, was moved across the street and is now adjacent to the Mitchell Building. The change was precipitated by the Purple Line light rail project.
 

New Chairbacks

While the national pandemic has delayed their arrival, new gameday chairbacks will arrive during the season. These new back-savers feature a wider design and a padded cushion to enhance the viewing experience. Fans can rent chairbacks for just $10/game by visiting the rental location on the concourse behind Section 7 and 19.

Relocation of Terp Alley

Maryland Football's gameday arrival is moving back to its more traditional location along Fieldhouse Drive/Lot 1/Z. Wish the team good luck as they arrive on campus by visiting Terp Alley 2:15 hours before kickoff. Enjoy inflatables, a live DJ, giveaways, and lawn games beginning three hours before kickoff.

Speakers and Sound

Enjoy a completely upgraded audio experience this season at Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium. This includes additional speakers added to the under balconies of Tyser and the North upper deck. Follow the game action and jam to the Terrapin Tunes through 107 brand new speakers that will be added to the stadium.

Please note that for the first few games, while we finalize construction on our new videoboard, an enhanced temporary audio system will be utilized in Maryland Stadium.

Traffic Pattern and Parking Lot Updates

As you return to campus, you will notice several University construction projects have recently been completed, while others are still progressing towards completion. One of the projects under current construction includes preparation for the Purple Line. As you enter campus, please pardon our dust as some projects are under active construction. For parking pass holders, please follow the recommended route and entrance guidelines printed on the back of your parking pass for the best route to access your parking space. New traffic patterns may have been instituted since your last visit to campus, so pay careful attention to the recommended route. Only parking passes for lots Z, SDG, or YC will be allowed to enter campus at the Stadium Drive Garage entrance to access their parking lots on game days.

Under Armour Script Terps Uniforms

Harkening back to the glory days of the 1980s, the Terps will wear a special throwback uniform for our season opener vs. West Virginia on Sept. 4. Recognizing the 25th Anniversary of Under Armour, these special white jerseys feature red numbers and black and gold trim. The look will be complete with red helmets featuring the iconic Terps script logo and red pants to mirror the team's look of the 1980s. Check out more here. Video Board Upgrade

Maryland will debut two new video boards early this Fall. There will be a 120 foot-by-54-foot display in the West end zone (adjacent to the Stadium Drive garage). With six times the LED display area of the previous board (which was over 15 years old), the new videoboard will be the ninth-largest in the country. The 28x30 board at the other end of the field --- which was nearly 20 years old --- was also replaced in favor of a 34x18 model. Both displays will be in full HD 1080p, with a pixel pitch (the space between LED bulbs) reduced from 25 millimeters to 10 millimeters to drastically improve clarity.

For the first few games, a temporary videoboard will be located in the West End Zone while construction on the permanent board is completed.

Will Call Location Updates

To help alleviate congestion at the West Gate, the following Will Call groups have been relocated to Gate C: General Will Call, High School Coaches & Other Sport Recruits.

The Will Call location for Football Recruits will now be located at Gate J.

X-Ceptional Recognitions

At the homecoming game on October 30 vs. Indiana, the Terps will feature two landmark recognitions:

20th Anniversary - 2001 ACC Title & Ralph Friedgen National Coach of the Year: Help us welcome back the Ralph Friedgen-led 2001 Maryland Terrapins to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the team's 2001 ACC Championship. We will also honor Coach Friedgen on the 20th Anniversary of his Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year honor.

E.J. Henderson - 2021 College Football Hall of Fame Induction Recognition: Join us in congratulating the only two-time consensus All-American in Maryland Football history, E.J. Henderson, as we celebrate his induction into the College Football Hall of Fame.

Young Terps Days

With the purchase of one adult ticket to the game vs. Kent State on September 25, fans will receive one complimentary "Young Terps" ticket for children 13 and under. All Young Terps will have access to a pregame football combine outside the stadium, and may have the chance to run a 40-yard dash on the field at halftime! Zero-Waste

The Drive to Zero Waste continues at the University of Maryland with a goal of diverting 90 percent of the game day trash from the landfill by an increase in recycling and composting.
