Alyssa Poarch will serve in the role for the upcoming season under new head coach
Meghan Ryan Nemzer.
DeRosa played in 17 games last season with six starts, playing a total of 781 minutes. She scored two goals, coming against Richmond and Rutgers. She has been a two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection.
Hicks started all 18 games in 2021, playing a total of 1,640 minutes. She had one assist, against Temple, for her first-career point. She is a two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection
Poarch has played four seasons with the Terps, seeing action in 52 total games with 45 starts. She has scored 14 goals in her career, including two last season and added eight assists for 36. She earned Second Team All-Big Ten and Third Team All-North Region in 2019.
