COLLEGE PARK, MD. - The University of Maryland softball team will head down south to Chapel Hill, N.C for the ACC/Big Ten Challenge this weekend. The Terps will kick off the weekend with a pair of games against Virginia and will conclude the weekend with a pair of games against North Carolina. Both games against North Carolina will be streamed on ACCNX.

  •  Virginia opened up their 2023 season at the University of Houston Tournament with a record of 4-1, including victories over Lamar, Houston and Sam Houston State
  • The Cavaliers finished the 2022 season with a 28-26 record and 13-11 record in conference play. Virginia's season came to an end in the National Invitational Softball Championship
  • North Carolina also began their 2023 season in the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The Tar Heels went 2-2 on the weekend with victories over California Baptist and BYU.
