Coach Nemzer's Take
"I am going to go back and look at the film. I think we have to talk a little bit about game management. When they scored one, looking back on it there was too many numbers in the attack at that point and we got countered. Learning to finish these kinds of games will come with maturity in terms of game management. They worked hard, they competed. It's moments and teams are capitalizing on these opportunities, and we need to continue to work on finishing games. I liked our defensive plan during the first half, with us holding them to zero shots in the first half. This team is very god and we have had some of our best practices this week. I think the biggest thing right now is learning how to close games out. Defensively we need to touch a couple of things up, which I think we did. Now as a team we need to learn how to close out a game. Yesterday's training session was probably one of the best we've had, so I don't have anything negative to say about this group. I know they're good and I know they're talented. We are a little bit young, so we need to be a little bit better about the details."
Lisa McIntyre on Scoring her First Collegiate Goal
"Considering it being my first two goals it was a great step in the right direction for me. To be able to get that first goal for the team early in the first half, we went in at halftime knowing that one goal wasn't enough. It wasn't about anything going through my head, it was about how we could get another in the back of the net. The second goal maybe wasn't the prettiest goal, but its about the hustle and the work. It went through three to four passes, so the build up was great. Putting those goals away early on to give the lead early on was great, but the end result was not there. We fell off a bit at the end of the game, but this will make us a better team and make us go into this week of training to work hard and go get the results we want this next week. It's a learning experience and we are all coming together as a team. We just have to learn to give it our all for the full 90 minutes."
