Coach Nemzer's Take
"We last spoke about being worried if we could close out games and I think that today we showed that we bend but don't break. I challenged them to put together a full 90 minutes today. I think in the first half, it wasn't exactly going our way, but they stuck together. I thought that we were putting a lot of pressure on them in the second half. We spoke about some things at halftime, and I thought they did a really good job of executing. We had four or five opportunities one-on-one with the goalkeeper where we unfortunately missed the goal or shot it right at the goalkeeper and credit to her for making the save. But once again, I continue to say that we are almost there and we a good team. We just got to get it once and then it will click. I know we're going to be a very good team."
Lauren Wrigley on Continuing to Work Hard as a Team
"I think we recognize that this takes time and it's not just going to happen overnight. So just sticking to it and trusting when it does work. We just need to keep working and understand that if we continue to put in the effort that things will begin to work for us. I think it is super important not to get frustrated with these recent results."
