COLLEGE PARK, MDÂ -- Maryland hosts Ohio State this Sunday for Senior Day, as the Buckeyes come to College Park with an 8-5Â record. The Terps and Buckeyes will square off at 1 p.m., with a special post-game ceremony to honor all seniors and graduates with their families on the field.

Where We've Been
- The Terps enter Sunday with a 9-4 overall record and a 4-1 mark in Big Ten play. This season, Maryland has secured ranked wins over No. 18 USC, No. 13 James Madison, and No. 11 Michigan. Junior Kori Edmondson leads the offense with 43 points and 35 goals, while graduate student Chrissy Thomas leads the team in assists with 26. Defensively, the Terps are anchored by captains Kennedy Major and Neve O'Ferrall.Â
- Maryland was defeated by No. 11 Virginia, 13-9, at Notre Dame Preparatory School on Wednesday. Edmondson won a career-best nine draw controls. As a team, the Terps won 16-of-27 draw controls.Â
- This was Maryland's One Love game. Founded in 2010 to honor the memory of former Virginia women's lacrosse player Yeardley Love, the One Love Foundation is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to educating, empowering, and activating young people in a movement to end relationship violence and promote healthy relationships.Â
- Maryland went 2-0 on its West Coast swing after dominating No. 18 USC, 16-8  on Saturday. Their other win on their road trip was against Arizona State on April 3. This was Maryland's third win over a ranked team this season. USC got off to an early 2-0 lead by scoring twice in the opening 1:46. However, Maryland scored 11 of the following 12 goals, including a 10-goal unanswered run to lead 11-3 at halftime. Maryland remained in control for the rest of the game and cruised to victory. The Terps dominated defensively, holding the Trojans scoreless for 33:12 through the first and third quarters. Chrissy Thomas recorded a career-day with three goals and four assists in the win. It was Thomas's fifth career hat trick and first of the season. She matched her seven points on May 4, 2023, against Rutgers.Â

Scouting the buckeyes
- Kate Tyack leads the way for the Ohio State offense, while Brynn Ammerman serves as the team's primary distributor with 36 assists this season—second in the Big Ten and 15th nationally. Ammerman's 3.0 assists per game ranks first in the conference. Tyack enters Sunday's matchup in College Park with 13 goals over her last six games.
- In goal, Jocelyn Torres anchors the Buckeyes' defense with a 8.20 goals-against average and an .520 save percentage. She was named to the Tewaaraton Watch List and earned Inside Lacrosse Mid-season Third Team All-American honors. Nationally, Torres ranks fourth in save percentage (.520) and sixth in goals-against average (8.17).
- This marks the 23rd meeting between Maryland and Ohio State. The Terps have historically controlled the series, leading 19-2 over the past 24 years. The two teams first met in 2001, with Maryland earning a 19-2 victory.

- On February 14, the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced the 2025 IWLCA Hall of Fame, which included Maryland head coach Cathy Reese.
- Reese has guided Maryland to five national championships (2010, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2019), 11 Final Fours, and 20 regular-season and tournament championships across the ACC and Big Ten. She is recognized as a four-time IWLCA National Coach of the Year (2010, 2014, 2015, 2019) and a 12-time Conference Coach of the Year.
- Reese joins former Maryland head coaches Cindy Timchal (Class of 2017) and Suzanne Tyler (Class of 2018) in the IWLCA Hall of Fame.
