COLLEGE PARK, MD — Each week during the 2025–26 season, a Maryland student-athlete who has demonstrated excellence both on and off the field of competition is selected as the Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons Terp of the Week.

This week's honoree is sophomore Branson John of the Maryland wrestling team.

To close out Big Ten regular-season competition, John, ranked No. 17, recorded a signature upset at 197 pounds, defeating No. 10 Luke Geog of No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes with a pin at the 3:40 mark.

The victory marked the first top-10 win of John's career and improved his record to a team-best 21–4 overall, including a 5–2 mark in Big Ten competition.
