Maryland To Host Men's Lacrosse Quarterfinals In 2001

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Committee selected the following institutions to host first-round and quarterfinal competition of the 2001 NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Championship. The NCAA Division I Championships/Competition Cabinet has already granted approval of these sites.

First Round: Saturday, May 12 University of Maryland, Baltimore County
UMBC Stadium
Baltimore, Maryland

Sunday, May 13 U. S. Military Academy
Michie Stadium
West Point, New York

Quarterfinals: Saturday, May 19 Hofstra University
Hofstra Stadium
Hempstead, New York

Sunday, May 20 University of Maryland, College Park
Byrd Stadium
College Park, Maryland

Men's Lacrosse Championships: Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, New Brunswick, will host the 2001 (May 26-28) and 2002 (May 25-27)

NCAA Divisions I, II and III Men's Lacrosse Championships in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Tickets may be purchased by calling 732/445-2766 or visiting www.NCAAlacrosse.com for ticket and event information.

The Men's Lacrosse Committee is seeking bids for the 2003-06 championship weekend, along with the 2002-2003 first round and quarterfinals.
