COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The women's tennis team (6-12, 1-7 ACC) completed regular season play on Easter Sunday at the Cole Field House Tennis Courts in College Park. The Terps fell 6-1 to Wake Forest. The Demon Deacons improve to 7-1 in the ACC. The Terps netted one singles win and one doubles win but proved to be no match for No. 18 Wake Forest.
Capturing a win at the No. 1 doubles, sophomore Delila Causevic (Silver Spring, Md.) and freshman Emily Marker (Ann Arbor, Mich.) captured their fourth win together. They defeated Bea Bielik and Janet Bergman 8-4. The only other Terp win was earned by Marker at the No. 5 singles. She downed Elizabeth Proctor in two sets 7-5, 7-5.
The Terps are back in on April 19 when they begin competition at the ACC championships in Orlando, Fla. Matches begin at 10 a.m. at the Disney Wide World of Sports' Marsha Park and Tennis Center.
