The Terps vaulted to the nation's top spot after the huge conference road win coupled with the 9-8 overtime loss by previous No. 1 Johns Hopkins at Virginia on Saturday night. Maryland moves to the top spot for the first time since the week of March 26, 2001.

Maryland's 7-0 start also matches the best start since that 2001 season when they were also 7-0 to start the year. Along with Brown (5-0), the Terps are the only undefeated teams in the nation.

The Terps return to action as the No. 1 team when they host No. 10 Virginia in a rematch of the NCAA Semifinals. Maryland and Virginia face-off at 1 p.m., on Saturday, April 3 at Byrd Stadium. Tickets are available online via the link above.

The game will feature several promotions as it's Baltimore Bayhawks Day where former Terps and current Bayhawks Andrew "Buggs" Combs and Casey Connor will be on hand to host a pre-game clinic. The first 200 students at the game will received free T-Shirts while the first 400 fans will receive free Maryland lacrosse posters. It is also Youth Team Day.
