Home Run Club Brochure
COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
Maryland baseball coach Terry Rupp and the Terrapins' baseball program recently released the 2008 Home Run Club brochure in an attempt to raise funds for the team.
Those interested in helping the Terps compete in arguably the toughest college baseball conference in the country, the Atlantic Coast Conference, can do so for as little as $50 a year. Additional annual levels include: $75, $100, $250, $500, $750, $1,000, $1,250, $1,500 and $2,000+. Each level offers additional perks, such as team memorabilia and season tickets.
Financial contributions will be used to help offset the costs of facility improvements, equipment needs and team travel. Portions of donations are tax-deductible.
The Terps welcome 11 new players this season and the home schedule features matchups against ACC stalwarts Clemson, North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia Tech and NC State. Maryland defeated nationally-ranked teams on five occasions last season, including taking two of three from Clemson.
Three Terps from last year's team were drafted by Major League Baseball teams, including pitcher Brett Cecil, who went in the first round to the Toronto Blue Jays.
