COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Tickets are now available for the 2009 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament First and Second Rounds to be held at Comcast Center on the campus of the University of Maryland in late March, athletics department officials said today.
In addition, the campus has a website that will include information regarding tickets, schedules, directions and the teams eventually selected to compete in College Park on March 22 and 24, 2009. The website is available at www.umterps.com and by clicking on the women's basketball page.
Tickets are available to the general public, with all-session reserved seats available for $27 for adults and $21 for students. General admission all-session tickets are available for $21 for adults and $15 for students.
All-session books will include admission to two games on Sunday, March 22 with game times set for 12:00 and 2:30 p.m. and one game on Tuesday, March 24 scheduled for a 7:00 p.m start.
Single-session tickets, if still available, will go on sale the week of March 16, 2009.
The deadline for the Terrapin Ticket Office to receive priority ticket order forms is November 28, 2008.
Should the University of Maryland women's basketball team earn an invitation, the Terps would be automatically be slated to play at home in Comcast Center for at least the first two rounds. The NCAA Selection Committee will announce the 64 teams invited to play in the NCAA Tournament on March 16, 2009.
