COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland baseball team had a record turnout at their 6th annual golf classic, held on Friday, October 2, at the University of Maryland Golf Course.

The outing served as an opportunity to meet first year head coach Erik Bakich and support the baseball program, which is currently going through their first fall practices under Bakich. Maryland baseball would like to send a special thanks to the Triple Crown Sponsor - University of Maryland Women's Health.

Jacob Blakenship, Peter Chen, Mike Darragh, and Nick Miller won the scramble with a score of 56 on the par 71 course.

Winners of individual hole contests were:
• Closest to the Pin on #8 - Ryan McDermond - 5'4"
• Closest to the Pin on #11 - Peter Haley - 1'10"
• Longest Drive #18 - Chris Stanton
• Congrats to Frank Thomas for his Hole in One on #14 - the first of his career!
