FIBA Europe Announces Three Former Terps to Play in EuroLeague Women's All-Star Game

MUNICH - Three former Maryland Terrapins were named to the EuroLeague Women's All-Star Game on March 8, with one getting a starting nod for Team Europe, the organization announced today.

Shay Doron, a guard for Besiktas Cola Turka, will start for Team Europe while Crystal Langhorne and Laura Harper will come off the bench for the International Team. Harper and Doron are teammates on Besiktas Cola Turka, based in Istanbul,Turkey, and Langhorne is a center for TEO Vilnius in Lithuania.

Harper is averaging 18.0 points per game, fourth in the league behind Diana Taurasi's 18.1 per outing. Langhorne is eighth with 17.1 points per game while Doron is ninth in the league with 2.4 steals per game.

Harper recently had her No. 15 jersey honored following the Terps' victory over NC State on Thursday. Langhorne is Maryland's all-time leading scorer and rebounder. Doron now ranks fourth in school annals in scoring and is seventh in assists.

The All-Star Game will be played next month in Paris, France.
