COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Dual meet action between Maryland and Georgetown originally slated for Saturday has been pushed up to Friday due to the likelihood of severe winter weather in the College Park area this weekend.

Maryland will battle the Hoyas at noon on Friday at Eppley Recreation Natatorium. The Terps will be celebrating Senior Day with a short ceremony prior to the first race.

Seniors Jacke Davidson, Patty DeScenza, Nina Rossi, Jen Vogel and Laura Wright will all be honored at their final home meet in College Park.

The Maryland women's swimming and diving team looks to cap a fantastic regular season where it has gone 10-2 up to this point and garnered votes in the most recent Collegeswimming.com/CSCAA Top 25 poll. The Terps topped West Virginia their last time in the water. After three near-misses in the first half of the meet with Ginny Glover, Annie Fittin and Martha VanLieshout being narrowly denied first-place finishes by inches in the 200 free, 50 free and 200 IM, respectively, the Terps rebounded with a vengeance. Glover bounced back to win the 200 back (1:59.08). Vogel won the 200 fly (2:02.11) and Alexa Hamilton captured the 200 breast (2:17.12). Maryland also won the 400 medley relay (3:47.76) and put together its best time in its win in the 400 free relay. Alisa Kurbatova won both the 1- and 3-meter.

Georgetown also enters Friday's meet on a hot streak, having won nine straight after falling to James Madison to start the season. Maryland's Kurbatova may have her hands full with Georgetown school-record holder Caitlin Karniski Karniski's score of 270.90 broke the 3-meter diving mark (266.03) and her score of 257.78 broke the 1-meter diving mark (255.98). Lindsay Vickroy captured the 50 and 100 frees while Megan Harvey snagged a victory in the 200 free for the Hoyas as they defeated Howard last time out. The Hoyas won three more events with Christina Daquila taking the 1650 free with a personal best time, Kristen Pratt captured the 200 fly and Christina Costa won the the 100 back.

Following Friday's meet, Maryland will travel to Chapel Hill, N.C. for the 2010 ACC Championships Feb. 17-20.
