COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
The Maryland swimming and diving team held its annual banquet last Saturday and handed out several awards while celebrating the 2009-10 season.
Maryland, which finished 25th at the NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships in West Lafayette, Ind., celebrated the season in front of a crowd of over 140 student-athletes, friends, family and staff.
"This year's celebration was a great event," head coach Sean Schimmel said. "The Maryland swimming and diving team gather to honor our accomplishments from this past season...it is a day to look back at our victories and shortcomings to use as a touchstone for the future.
