Strength & Conditioning
In the highly competitive world of collegiate athletics, the off-court preparation of the student-athlete is a critical component in the on-field success of any Division I program.

Maryland's strength and conditioning staff, led by Director of Strength and Conditioning for Olympic Sports Mike Szemborski, believes strongly that a solid off-field training program can dramatically improve levels of performance, as well as significantly reduce the chance of injury. The benefit of performing structured training throughout the entire year allows the Terps to reach new levels in physical development and, in turn, results in great competitive success.

Maryland student-athletes have access to three state-of-the-art, fully-equipped weight training facilities located in the Gossett Team House, Comcast Center and Varsity Team House.
