On Costantino: May be the best pure hitter on the team ... had an outstanding freshman
year, as well as a great summer in the New England Collegiate League ... strength has greatly
increased due to work in the weight room and maturity ... since last year, has turned into a
guy that will hit the ball out of the park rather than just line drives ... has the potential to hit
for both average and power.
As a Freshman (2003): Had an impressive debut at the collegiate level, starting more games
than any other freshman ... finished third on the team in hitting, with an average of .309 ...
showed good patience at the plate, having more walks (20) than strikeouts (19) ... showed
great improvement defensively as the season wore on ... tied for second on the team with
