2005 CROSS COUNTRY - Team's lone senior raced in all seven meets... placed 33rd at the Great Meadows Invitational in a time of 22:40.0... came in 94th in 27:25.80 at the Great American Cross Country Festival.
2005 OUTDOOR TRACK - Competed in the 1,500 meters and the 3,000-meter steeplechase... season-best time of 4:12.02 was good for a 14th-place finish at the Morgan State Legacy meet... ran 4:12.07 at the UNCW Seahawk Invitational and finished 11th... placed sixth at the Navy Invitational in the steeplechase with a time of 10:10.5... ran a 10:22.06 at the Terrapin Invitational and finished 14th.
2005 INDOOR TRACK - Competed in the 3,000 meters... season-best time of 9:25.37 was good for a 17th-place finish at the Maryland Invitational... ran 9:28.43 at the Virginia Tech Invitational and finished 37th.
2004 CROSS COUNTRY - Ran in three races... best 8k time of the season came at the JMU Invitational, where he ran 27:22.18 to finish 30th... best overall finish was 24th at the ACC Pre-Meet.
2004 OUTDOOR TRACK - Ran the 1,500 and the 3,000 steeplechase... posted the team's second-best steeplechase time and best meet finish with his third-place time of 10:09.61 at the Tar Heel Opener... also ran 10:09.97 to finish 16th at the ACC Championships... ran a season-best 1,500-meter time of 4:08.01 to finish eighth at the Patriot Invitational.
2004 INDOOR TRACK - Ran the 1,000 and the mile... posted a season-best mile time of 4:28.26 in finishing 23rd at the Penn State Invitational... ran a 4:28.52 mile at the Patriot Games to finish fifth... posted the team's sixth-best 1,000-meter time, running 2:36.74 to finish fourth at the Delaware Invitational.
2003 OUTDOOR TRACK - Ran in the 1,500 and 5,000-meter runs... set season-best time in the 5,000 at the ACC Championships (15:33.83)... finished eighth in the 5,000 at the Maryland Invitational.
BEFORE MARYLAND - Won varsity letters in cross country, track and swimming at Good Counsel High School in Wheaton, Md... junior cross country team held a 212-0 record and a national ranking in the top 25... team ranked first in the D.C. Metro area and in Maryland... cross country team won the conference team championships three times... all-conference in track and was MVP of his team during his senior year... all-county for cross country his senior year... participated in the National Honor Society... in the top 10 of his graduating class with a 4.5 GPA... won the George Washington School of Engineering and Applied Science medal.
PERSONAL - Son of Kathleen and Patrick Ryan... majoring in electrical engineering... has two sisters, Kerry and Julia... cousin Katy is on the swim team at Toledo... enjoys playing sports, listening to various kinds of music and watching movies.
