The ACC is the premiere men's soccer conference in the country and the Terps are one of the reasons why.

Just look at some facts from the 2012 season:

  • ACC schools own 15 NCAA Men?™s Soccer National Titles, including five in last seven years (North Carolina ?™11, Virginia ?™09, Maryland ?™08, Wake Forest ?™07, & Maryland ?™05), and has appeared in the championship game on 22 occasions.
  • Five players hailing from the ACC were drafted in the 2012 MLS SuperDraft, including four in the first round.
  • Six of the league nine men?™s soccer programs were ranked in the RPI Top 40.
