COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The No. 13 Maryland men's soccer team returns from its longest road stint of the season when it welcomes Northwestern on Friday. The match has been moved to 2 p.m. due to Hurricane Joaquin.

•The first 750 fans at Friday's matinee will receive a free gold t-shirt.

• Parking will be available in the Union Lane Garage and Stadium Drive Garage for $3 per hour or $15 per day.

terps rout wisconsin, 4-1

• The No. 11 Maryland men's soccer team erupted for four goals - including two from freshman Sebastian Elney - en route to a 4-1 Big Ten Conference win at Wisconsin Sunday.

• Elney - who also scored against No. 25 Georgetown on Wednesday - scored the first and final goals for the Terps. He leads the squad with six goals in 2015. Mael Corboz and Alex Crognale also scored for Maryland (4-2-3, 1-0-2 B1G).

• It was the second time this season Maryland has tallied four goals in a game (St. John's).

elney leading the way offensively

• Freshman Sebastian Elney has been solid for the Maryland attack this season, leading the Big Ten in goals with six as a rookie.

• Elney tallied two goals at Wisconsin on Sunday after registering the Terps' lone goal of the game against Georgetown. Fellow freshman Eryk Williamson recorded a pair of assists versus Wisconsin.

• In total, the freshman class has posted eight of Maryland's 14 goals and recorded six assists.

Corboz named senior class candidate

• Maryland senior midfielder Mael Corboz has been named a candidate for the 2015 Senior CLASS Award.

• In the classroom, Corboz maintains a 3.4 GPA as an engineering major at Maryland and is a senior captain and leader of a youth-laden 2015 squad that includes 11 freshmen.

• Corboz started a non-profit called the Healthy HeartBeets that focuses on educating children from lower-income areas regarding healthy eating. It started as a means of providing information about affordable alternatives to fast food but eventually became a larger nutrition education program through which he went to different schools and talked to young children about what they typically eat and taught them about healthier alternatives to those specific products.

• A first-team All-Big Ten selection in 2014 after leading the Big Ten in goals scored (10), Corboz was named the Big Ten Championship Most Valuable Player after notching the game-winner against Indiana in the title game. He led the Terps to both regular season and tournament titles in Maryland's inaugural season in the Big Ten.

Packing Ludwig

• The Maryland men's soccer team has seen three spectacular crowds in its first three matches at Ludwig Field to kick off the 2015 season.

• The Terps averaged nearly 6,300 fans per game after welcoming a stellar crowd of 6,294 against Michigan.

• Maryland set a Ludwig Field-record with 8,449 fans at its electric victory over No. 1 UCLA on Sept. 4.

#4 Terps, Michigan draw in b1G opener

• Playing in front of yet another raucous Ludwig Field crowd, the No. 4 Maryland men's soccer team gutted out a scoreless draw against Michigan in its Big Ten Conference opener.

• The Terps picked up the result despite playing a man down for 35 minutes following a red card to freshman Jorge Calix in the 75th minute. Maryland – which led the nation in shots heading into Friday's match – was held to 12 attempts versus a direct Wolverine squad. Cody Niedermeier notched his second shutout in three starts, snagging four saves in another solid effort in net.

TERPS sweep b1g weekly awards

• After an electrifying win over No. 1 UCLA in front of a record crowd of nearly 8,500, the Maryland men's soccer team swept the Big Ten Conference weekly honors, the league office announced.

• Freshman Sebastian Elney and junior Cody Niedermeier won top offensive and defensive honors, respectively.

• Elney, a forward from Boca Raton, Fla., scored the game-winning goal in the Terps' 2-1 overtime victory over UCLA and added another goal against Akron on Monday night. His goal against UCLA was viewed over 350,000 times online.

• Niedermeier was a highlight reel as well, picking up six saves in his first career start at goalkeeper Friday. The junior from Arnold, Md., surrendered one goal in his first action at Ludwig after sustaining two season-ending injuries earlier in his career.

Terps down #1 ucla in front of record crowd

• Freshman Sebastian Elney headed home the game-winner in the 96th minute to lift the No. 6 Maryland men's soccer team past top-ranked UCLA, 2-1, in front of a Ludwig Field record crowd of 8,449 fans.

• Mael Corboz also scored for the Terrapins (2-0-1), who topped the previous record crowd of 8,397 established Sept. 6, 2013 against Duke. Redshirt junior Cody Niedermeier made six saves in his first start in goal at Ludwig.

sejdic racks up B1G weekly honor

• Maryland freshman Amar Sejdic was named the Big Ten Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced.

• Sejdic, a midfielder from Louisville, Ky., scored the first two goals in a 4-0 rout of St. John's on Sunday in the adidas/IU Credit Union Classic in Bloomington, Ind.

• The rookie also started and played valuable minutes in Maryland's scoreless draw against No. 4 Notre Dame on Friday.

• For his efforts, Sejdic was named Most Valuable Offensive Player of the weekend as the Terps captured the tourney crown.

Terps Rout St. John's in INdiana

• Sparked by three goals in a five-minute span to begin the second half, the No. 13 Maryland men's soccer team defeated St. John's, 4-0, in the adidas/IU Credit Union Classic.

• Maryland (1-0-1) picked up scoring from freshmen Amar Sejdic (2) and Sebastian Elney and sophomore Jake Areman. Rookie keeper Dayne St. Clair secured his first shutout in goal, notching four saves.

Terps, #4 Irish play to scoreless draw

• In a rematch of the 2013 national championship game, the No. 13-ranked Maryland men's soccer team played to a scoreless draw with No. 4 Notre Dame in the opening game of the adidas/IU Credit Union Classic in the season opener.

• Maryland started five new players, including freshmen Sebastian Elney, Eryk Williamson, Diego Silva, and Amar Sejdic. A total of eight rookies made their Terrapin debuts Friday.

• Cody Niedermeier, who notched his first start as a Terp after sustaining two season-ending injuries in three years at Maryland, racked up three saves en route to his first career shutout.

• Maryland outshot Notre Dame by a decisive 7-1 mark in the first 45 minutes. The Terps held a 22-10 advantage in the category for the match but managed only four shots on goal.

Three Terps Tabbed Big Ten Players to Watch

• Seniors Mael Corboz and Tsubasa Endoh and junior Chris Odoi-Atsem were tabbed to the Big Ten Players to Watch list.

• Corboz, a senior midfielder, was named the Big Ten Tournament Most Valuable Offensive Player after guiding the Terps to their first-ever Big Ten tournament crown. Corboz was also a First Team All-Big Ten pick after leading the league in goals scored (10).

• Endoh, despite an injury-shortened season, started in all 16 games he appeared in after being named a Big Ten Conference Player to Watch in 2014. The midfielder tallied one goal against then-No. 3 Penn State and Hartwick and added a pair of assists.

• Odoi-Atsem was a First Team All-Big Ten selection as a sophomore last season after starting in 21 games and helping the defense secure nine shutouts.

Meet the new guys

• The Terps have 13 newcomers on this year's roster, including 11 freshmen. Rookies Connor Smith, Sebastian Elney, Amar Sejdic, DJ Reeves, Andrew Samuels, Jorge Calix, Eryk Williamson, Paul Bin, Aaron Franco, Diego Silva, and Dayne St. Clair join St. John's transfer Cody Albrecht and Eastern Florida JUCO standout Ivan Magalhaes on this year's squad.

• Northwestern (3-4-1, 1-2 B1G) fell to Indiana, 1-0, its last time out. The Wildcats are being outscored 11-6 on the year, including a 3-0 loss to Michigan Sept. 20 in Ann Arbor.

• Joey Calistri is the lone Wildcat with multiple goals this season with two.

• Maryland trails in the all-time series, 0-1-0, after falling to Northwestern 3-2 in overtime last season. The loss in Evanston jumpstarted a remarkable 11-game unbeaten streak which ultimately ended in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
