Shawaryn recently accepted an invitation to join the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team. He is just the second Terrapin to ever play for the United States.

- Sophomore second baseman Brandon Lowe ranks among the best hitters in the Big Ten. A first team All-Big Ten selection, Lowe is top ten in most offensive catagories in the Big Ten.

- Junior catcher Kevin Martir, a Johnny Bench Award semifinalist, is in the top-15 in the conference in average (.339), slugging (.502) and OBP (.434). Martir's 44 RBIs is 10th in the conference and he has seven home runs. He was named to the All-Big Ten Third Team.
