BALTIMORE – Maryland baseball head coach John Szefc threw out the first pitch before the Baltimore Orioles' 5-4 win over the New York Mets at Oriole Park at Camden Yards Wednesday night.

Szefc led the Terrapins to a school record 42 wins in 2015 en route to the program's second straight NCAA Regional title. He produced four All-Americans and four All-Big Ten honorees. Szefc and his staff also tutored eight players drafted in the 2015 MLB Draft, a school record.

Entering his fourth year at the helm, Szefc has won 112 games and helped the Terps to consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances for the first time since 1970-71.
