COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Maryland men's lacrosse faceoff specialist Austin Henningsen has been named Big Ten Co-Freshman of the Week as announced by the Big Ten Conference office Tuesday.

Henningsen was tremendous for the Terrapins on the road against previously #7 Yale, winning 13-of-16 faceoffs and picking up a career-high eight ground balls.

The Northport, N.Y. native is now 22-of-28 (.786) on faceoffs through two games on the season, and currently leads the nation in faceoff percentage.

Henningsen and the Terps return to action Saturday against #1 Notre Dame in the Pacific Coast Lax Shootout in Costa Mesa, Calif.
