COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Maryland men's lacrosse freshman faceoff specialist Austin Henningsen has been named Big Ten Specialist of the Week after a tremendous showing in the Terps' 10-7 win over #10 Albany.

Henningsen dominated the faceoff X against the Great Danes, winning a career-high 16 faceoffs on 20 attempts (80%) and picking up a career-high 10 ground balls. This marks the second career weekly Big Ten honor for Henningsen.

The Northport, N.Y., native currently ranks ninth in the nation winning 65 percent of his faceoffs.

The Terps return to action Saturday against #12 North Carolina at Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium at 2 pm. Hennigsen will face off against UNC's Stephen Kelly, who ranks 12th nationally in faceoff percentage.
