Facing off

• Maryland's man-down unit has been magnificent in 2016, allowing just one goal in 11 opportunities this season. Even more impressive has been its performance in the last two games, allowing zero EMO goals against top-5 teams Yale (0-for-5) and Notre Dame (0-for-3).

• The Terps are set to travel to Drexel for the first time in its 91-year history Saturday, as it faces the Dragons for the third time ever. Maryland won the previous two meetings in College Park, in 1943 and 2015.

•  Junior defenseman Tim Muller had one of the best games of his career against Notre Dame, matching his career-high in ground balls (4) and caused turnovers (2) while covering some of the best offensive players in the country.

•  Maryland has scored 12 goals in both of its meetings against Drexel, defeating the Dragons by a score of 12-0 in 1943 and then 12-3 last season.

• The Maryland defense was spectacular against top-ranked Notre Dame in the Pacific Coast Lacrosse Shootout, holding the Irish to just six goals before allowing three during desperation time in the last minute. The Terps held the Irish scoreless for separate stretches of 23:09 and 14:05.

• The day following Maryland's win over High Point at Maryland Stadium kicked off a span of 25 days away from home for the Terps. Maryland will play four games on the road before returning home against Albany on March 16.

Matt Rambo became the 49th player in Maryland history to eclipse 100 career points just two games into his junior season. Known for his incredible goal scoring ability, Rambo was the facilitator against #7 Yale by matching his career-high with three assists. He is just one goal away from reaching 75 for his career.

• The Terrapins are 51-4 under John Tillman when scoring at least 10 goals in a game, including a spectacular mark of 32-1 over the last four seasons.

•  The Terps held the Dragons scoreless for an incredible stretch of 56:17 in last year's 12-3 victory in College Park. Drexel opened the game with a 2-0 lead, but the Maryland defense clamped down to stifle the vistors for the remainder of the game.

• Freshman faceoff specialist Austin Henningsen has quickly made his mark on the collegiate landscape, winning 68 percent (30-of-44) of his faceoffs. Henningsen began the season 22-for 28 in a pair of games against High Point and Yale, before going 50 percent against No. 1 Notre Dame.

TERPS' 91st SEASON OF LACROSSE

• The Terps boast an all-time record of 775-261-4 (.740), dating back to the first varsity team in 1924 (a team was not fielded in 1944 and 1945 due to World War II). Maryland has finished every one of its previous 90 seasons with a .500 or better record, including last season when the Terps went 15-4. The program reached the 700-win milestone with a 15-6 victory over Penn on April 14, 2009 at Ludwig Field.

• During the decade of the 2000s, Maryland went 111-49 for a .694 win percentage, making it the winningest decade in Terrapin lacrosse history. In the decade of the 1990s, Maryland posted a 95-47 record. The .669 winning percentage matched Maryland's win percentage of the 1980s when the Terps went 83-41 and also compiled a .669 win percentage.

• Through the 2015 season, Maryland is 53-17 in the 2010's for a .757 winning percentage - on pace for the best decade in Maryland history.
