Box Score ANN ARBOR, Mich.- The Maryland softball team fell to No. 2 Michigan, 16-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Junior Sarah Lang shined, going 2-for-2 with two singles, to raise her Big Ten batting average to .353.
Lang had half of Maryland's four hits, with Kristina Dillard and Hannah Dewey notching the other two.
After a two run first inning, the Wolverines plated seven in the second and fourth sandwiched around a scoreless third by Hannah Dewey.
All seven of the second inning runs were unearned for Madison Martin, after a two out error extended the inning.
Freshman Ari Jarvis appeared in her third game of the season and retired all three batters she faced, getting Maryland out of further trouble in the fourth.
Maryland and No. 2 Michigan will wrap up their 2016 series tomorrow afternoon at 1:00 p.m. in Ann Arbor.
