Davis-Allen Named Defender of the Week

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Maryland men's lacrosse junior Isaiah Davis-Allen has been named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week for his role in Maryland's 11-8 victory over Johns Hopkins last Saturday.

Davis-Allen was a key cog in the Terrapin defense which held the Blue Jays five goals below their season average, collecting two ground balls and also causing a pair of turnovers.

The stalwart defensive midfielder was recently named First Team All-Big Ten for his efforts this season. He has totaled 30 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers, in addition to scoring three goals.

Davis-Allen and the Terps return to action Thursday evening when they face Penn State in the Big Ten Tournament semifinals at 5:30 pm at Homewood Field in Baltimore, Md. The game will be televised live on Big Ten Network.
