COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The third-ranked Maryland women's basketball team (19-1, 7-0 B1G) will travel to Illlinois (8-12, 3-4) for a midweek matchup at the State Farm Arena in Champaign Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.

This is the sixth meeting between Maryland and Illinois, with the Terps winning all five previous matchups. Maryland won last year's only meeting, 79-63, in Champaign on Dec. 31. Brionna Jones had 16 points and 19 rebounds, Kristen Confroy had 17 points, and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough added 13.
The Terps beat Rutgers, 80-71, Sunday in College Park. Kaila Charles led the way with 18 points and seven rebounds and Walker-Kimbrough scored 17 points. Jones picked up her 10th straight double-double with 11 points, 13 boards. Destiny Slocum notched her first career double-double with 11 points and a career-high 11 assists.
Jones was named Co-Big Ten Player of the Week Monday for the second straight week and fourth time this year. Charles was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week for her first weekly honor. In the Terps' two wins, Jones averaged 18.0 points, 11.5 boards and 2.5 blocks. Charles averaged 17.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and shot 65.0 percent from the floor.
Jones is No. 5 on Maryland's rebounding list with 1,040 career boards. She is No. 11 on Maryland's scoring list with 1,607 points and needs four to pass Lynetta Kizer at No. 10 (1,621). She currently leads the Big Ten with 14 double-doubles this year, including 10 straight. Over the last 10 games, she's averaged 22.2 points, 12.1 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 2.0 blocks per game.
Walker-Kimbrough is No. 7 on Maryland's all-time scoring list with 1,838 career points. She needs 41 points to pass Shay Doron at No. 6 (1,878). Walker-Kimbrough's career three-point percentage of 45.2% is currently the best in Maryland history ahead of Kristi Toliver's career percentage of 40.8%.
The Terrapins are No. 2 in the country in scoring (89.9), field goal percentage (.509), rebounding margin (+16.2) and third in scoring margin (+27.7). They are fourth in assists (20.5).
