COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The No. 1 Maryland men's lacrosse team (3-0) welcomes No. 8 Yale (1-0) to Saturday, Feb. 25, for a much-anticipated top-10 matchup at Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium. Faceoff is set for noon and the game will be broadcast live on ESPNews.

Following the men's lacrosse game, Maryland Stadium will host a powerhouse women's lacrosse matchup between No. 2 Maryland and No. 1 North Carolina at 3 pm. Be sure to stick around!

BY THE NUMBERS

1 - The Terrapins have climbed to the No. 1 spot in the Maverik Media Poll, sharing the top overall ranking with Denver. It marks the third time in the last four seasons Maryland has earned the No. 1 ranking. The Terps are 27-11 all-time as the nation's top-ranked team.

6 - Head coach John Tillman has had immense success since taking over the program in 2011, advancing to five NCAA semifinals and four title games. The Terps also lead the nation during that time period in All-America selections (38) and Major League Lacrosse draft selections (26).

8 - Maryland ranks eighth nationally with a .420 shooting  percentage, as all five of its leading scorers are finding the back of the net at a 40 percent clip or better. Senior Dylan
Maltz has scored on 8-of-12 shots (.667) this season, and 16 his last 23 shots (.696) over his last six games dating back to 2016.

15 - Saturday's matchup between Maryland and Yale marks the 15th meeting all-time between the programs dating back to 1925, with the Terps holding an 11-3 advantage in the series. The Terps won 10 straight meetings in the series from 1934 to 2013, and also picked up a key NCAA Tournament win against the Bulldogs in College Park in 2015.

19 - Senior Matt Rambo has tallied 19 points through three games on nine goals and 10 assists. It is the most points for a Terp in any three-game span since Mike Mollot totaled 19 points (7g/12a) in 2000 against Yale, UMBC and Hofstra.

31 - Sophomore faceoff specialist Austin Henningsen won 31-of-41 faceoffs (.756) in a pair of games last week en route to claiming Big Ten Specialist of the Week honors. In addition to a 13-for-17 performance against High Point, Henningen posted career-highs in points (3) and assists (2).

50 - The high-flying Terrapin offense has totaled 50 goals through its first three games, scoring at least 15 goals in every outing. It marks the first time since 1998 and sixth time overall that Maryland has scored at least 15 goals in each of its first three games to open a season.

53 - Senior Matt Rambo is one of the hottest players in the country, tallying 53 points over his last nine games (5.9 pts/g) on 26 goals and 27 assists dating back to 2016. He has at least five points in nine straight games and at least six points in six straight games.

70 - Maryland's extra-man unit scored seven goals on nine  opportunities in two games last week, with freshman Jared Bernhardt and senior Colin Heacock scoring three goals apiece on the EMO. The duo is tied for the nation's lead in EMO goals. Maryland's unit ranks sixth in the country, converting at a 70 percent clip.
