During Thursday's game, the Terrapins will wear a "Do Good" patch on their uniforms to support the message of the University's Do Good campaign. The University of Maryland has launched a $75 million initiative to become the nation's Do Good campus.

The Do Good Institute will train the next generation of Do Good leaders, and it will serve as the campus-wide hub of social innovation. From orientation to graduation, the Do Good Institute will engage the entire student body in “doing good” in their communities, both local and global.

Also part of the Do Good Institute is the Do Good Challenge,  a year-long effort that engages over a thousand students across campus and partners with numerous colleges, schools, and programs. Capped by an eight-week competition created by UMD students to encourage their peers to Do Good, the challenge awards over $20,000 of total prize money and gives students a chance to get their organization's name in front of a panel of high-profile judges and supporters at the Finals on April 26.
