Adam Whitesell each picked up their first dual victories of the season, but the Maryland wrestling team (0-1, 0-0 B1G) fell to Penn (1-1), 26-6, on Sunday.
It was the first dual victory in Jasenski's career. The New York native has gotten off to a strong start to the season, winning a title at the ESU Open before Sunday's triumph.
Jasenski led off for Maryland, with the bout beginning at 184 pounds. He secured a pair of takedowns in the first period to control the bout 4-2 entering the second. Jasenski was then able to stave off Farber's attack in the second, defending well on the edge of the mat to prevent Farber from taking the lead. He then put the bout away with a takedown in the final period to earn a 7-5 win.
Whitesell got off to a flying start at 157, picking up a trio of takedowns and six back points in the opening period to take a 12-3 lead. He then was able to fend off a strong offensive attack from Oliva to take home a 12-10 decision victory.
A pair of Terps were ousted in sudden victory. Redshirt senior
Alfred Bannister fell to ranked Anthony Artalona at 149, and redshirt freshman
Philip Spadafora was topped in sudden victory at 165. It was Spadafora's first dual action of his career.

Josh Ugalde was also bested in a tight bout, falling to Jake Hendricks, 2-1. Ugalde nearly secured a match-winning takedown in the final moments, but it was waived off by the referee.
Maryland will be back in action on Friday, Dec. 7, taking on Navy at the XFINITY Center Pavilion. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
