COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Senior midfielder Connor Kelly has been named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week after leading the No. 3 Maryland men's lacrosse team to a pair of victories.
Kelly totaled 13 points on eight goals and five assists over the course of two wins against Marist and High Point, including a game-winner.
The Easton, Conn., native had one of his best statistical games against the Red Foxes, posting career-highs in both points (8) and assists (4). Kelly joins Matt Rambo, Mike Chanenchuk, Michael Phipps, Joe Walters and Mike LaMonica as the only Terps to record at least eight points in a game since 2000.
Kelly then followed up that performance by scoring four more goals and adding an assist in the Terps' first road trip of the season at High Point.
Kelly and the Terps return to action Wednesday when they host #17 Penn at 5 pm at Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium.
