#10 Terps Blow Past Wisconsin, 75-57

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Kaila Charles went eight-for-10 from the field, posting 22 points to lead the No. 11 Maryland women's basketball team past Wisconsin, 75-57 on Thursday evening. 

Every player on the Maryland roster scored in the contest as Maryland used an early fourth quarter run to but the Badgers away. Shakira Austin tallied her eighth double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds, while Blair Watson also had 11 rebounds and added five rebounds. Brianna Fraser totaled six rebounds, including the 500th of her career.

Four players had over six points in the first half for Maryland with Austin leading the way with seven as the Terps held Wisconsin to just nine second quarter points to lead 35-27 at halftime.

Charles was perfect in the third quarter, converting on all four of her field goal attempts and two free throw attempts to total 10 of Maryland's 17 third quarter points. Maryland put Wisconsin away with an early 17-7 fourth quarter run to extend the lead to 22, capped off with a Sarah Myers three pointer and Austin turnaround. Olivia Owens came into the game and scored right away like Myers to make it a 72-51 ballgame. 

The Terrapins are 7-0 vs. the Badgers. Maryland is 3-0 against Wisconsin at home in the XFINITY Center.
 
Next, the Terrapins will play at Illinois (9-12, 1-9) Monday at 7:30 p.m. ET in Champaign. The Terps-Illini game will be televised around the world on the Big Ten Network.
