CLARION, PA — The Maryland wrestling team wrapped up its first tournament in nearly two years with eleven total placers on Sunday at the Clarion Open.

The Terps had 24 wrestlers compete as attached or unattached. Ten made the quarterfinals with eight making the semifinals. Ethen Miller, John Martin Best, and Zach Schrader competed in the finals.

Schrader was named the winner via medical forfeit after wracking up two technical falls and two decisions on the way to the finals. 

Miller and Best each stormed their way to the finals before dropping narrow decisions. The group racked up six falls on the day with 24 total bonus point victories.
