COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Each week during the 2020-21 season a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week. This week's Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week is senior volleyball player Erika Pritchard.

Senior outside hitter Erika Pritchard was exceptional in Maryland's two-match sweep of Iowa, beating the Hawkeyes in four sets Friday and three on Saturday to string together three consecutive Big Ten wins for the first time in program history.

Pritchard led the Maryland attack that hit .262 (Friday) and .349 (Saturday) on back-to-back nights. The Middletown native tallied a team-best 28 kills (4.00/set) while also attacking at an impressive .308 clip. Pritchard now ranks among the Big Ten leaders in kills (10th; 3.49/s) and service aces (fifth; 0.42/s).

The preseason All-Big Ten selection tallied 13 kills on 26 attempts in Friday's 3-1 win over Iowa without committing a single attack error. On Saturday, Pritchard moved to second all-time in Maryland history in career kills. The senior now sits at 1,436 career kills and is 150 away from breaking the all-time program record.
