Tennis Falls to Purdue

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Maryland women's tennis team fell 5-2 against Purdue on Saturday. No. 29 Ayana Akli and Zoe Kulkarni were able to put points on the board for the Terps at the No. 1 and No. 5 spots, respectively.

    • No. 1: No. 29 Akli moves to 9-2 for the season after defeating Babi in straight sets 6-2, 6-1 
    • No. 2: 84 Alexandrova fell to Dovnik in two sets 3-6, 1-6 
    • No. 3: Adela Josefova was defeated by Shimizu 1-6, 4-6 
    • No. 4: Minorka Miranda put up a fight against Galindo in both sets, but ultimtaely fell 4-6, 4-6  
    • No. 5: Kulkarni defeated Gaspain 7-5, 4-0 after a retired match 
    • No. 6: Sampson took the first set against Nax Ozturk, but fell in the tiebreaker 6-4, 3-6, 5-10
