PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The Maryland Outdoor track and field team competed in the first day of the Husker Big Ten Invite.
Caleb Dean took home the win in the 400 hurdles edging out his Big Ten competitors for the victory.

Jaida Smith advanced to the finals in the 100m dash.Â
Women's Notes
- Nadia Hackett finished the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.24s, finishing in the top ten.
- Senior Bria Mack and junior Jaida Smith both dashed to impressive finishes of 11.82s and 11.88s, respectively. They will compete in Saturday's 100m finals.Â
- Hackett finished in the 400m hurdles with a final time of 1:01.69.Â

Men's Notes
- Caleb Dean finished the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.51s. Brandon Turpin and Drake Murphy followed with strong efforts.Â
- Dean finished in first place in the 400m hurdles with a final time of 51.41s. Drake Murphy trailed with a personal best time of 55.48s.Â
- Cameron Vereen led the group of Terps in the 100m dash with a 10.96s followed by Joe Ewan 11.04s and Kamari Trotz (11.05s).Â
