COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The seventh-seeded Maryland women's soccer team will face #2 seed Ohio State in the opening round of Big Ten Regional Weekend Thursday, April 8 at noon.
For the Regional Weekend, the schools are seeded and assigned to their regional sites based on the same divisional alignment used during the Big Ten football season.
The winner of Thursday's game between the Terrapins and Buckeyes will advance to play either #3 seed Rutgers or sixth-seeded Michigan State on Sunday, April 11.

A LOOK AT THE TOURNAMENT

All 14 teams will compete in a single-elimination Big Ten Regional Weekend on April 8 and 11 at four campus sites. The winning team at each of the four regional locations will advance to the four-team Big Ten Tournament, to be played on the campus of the highest-remaining seed following the Regional Weekend. The Big Ten Tournament semifinals are set for April 15, with the tournament championship game scheduled for April 18.

Ray Leone in his fifth season at the helm for Maryland, a season removed from leading Maryland to its best-ever finish in the B1G. UMD finished 9-8-3 in 2019 and earned a trip to the school's first-ever Big Ten Tournament. The Terps went 5-5-1 in league play to finish sixth in the conference, the highest for a Maryland team.
