No. 8 Terps to Host NCAA Regional for the First-Time in College Park

COLLEGE PARK, MD – The Maryland baseball team will host an NCAA Regional for the first-time ever after the NCAA announced College Park as one of the 16 regional hosts for the NCAA Baseball Championship Sunday night.

The Terps will host at Bob "Turtle" Smith Stadium, with games starting Friday, June 3. Maryland's seed along with other three teams included in the College Park Regional will be announced Monday, May 30 at noon during the NCAA Baseball Selection Show, broadcast on ESPN2.

Fans will be able to purchase all-session general admission tickets for the College Park Regional, which includes a ticket to all potential games held at Bob "Turtle" Smith Stadium during June 3-5. Terrapin Club members will have priority access to purchase tickets for Regionals beginning at 1 PM on Monday, May 30.

All-session tickets will go on sale to the general public Tuesday, May 31 at 1 PM and include tickets for all games June 3 through June 5.  All-session tickets are priced at $30 for youth and seniors and $60 for adults. Should the Regional advance to Monday, June 6, tickets will be sold as single session tickets beginning at 9 AM June 6.

Single session Regional tickets will go on sale Tuesday, May 31 at 5 PM. Single session tickets are priced at $5 for students of the participating schools, $8 for youth and seniors, and $12 for adults.

Maryland's position as a regional host confirms its inclusion into the field for the NCAA Baseball Championship. The Terps are making their second consecutive tournament appearance, fifth since 2014, and eighth in program history.

The Terps enjoyed their best regular season in school history, winning a program-record 44 games along with their first-ever Big Ten Regular-Season Championship. It was the program's first conference title of any kind in 51 years. At Bob "Turtle" Smith Stadium, the Terps are 24-2, their most home wins in school history.

Maryland boasts 10 All-Big Ten selections, including Big Ten Player of the Year Chris Alleyne. Head coach Rob Vaughn was named the Big Ten Coach of the Year.
