No. 21 Terps Suffer 5-1 Loss To Minnesota

Box Score WACO, TX – No. 21 Maryland lost their second game against Minnesota today by a score of 5-1. The Terps can still take third at the 2023 Baylor Tournament, as they look to bounce back in Sunday's consolation game at 10 a.m., against Texas A&M Commerce.

Maryland's Courtney Wyche started and threw four innings before Keira Bucher relieved her. 

Mackense Greico and Sammi Woods both had hits in the game.

  • Minnesota scored first with a solo home run by Taylor Krapf in the second. 
  • Minnesota made the score 2-0 in the fourth.  
  • The Gophers added to their lead in the fifth, making it 4-0.
  • Maryland's Megan Mikami put the Terps on the board in the sixth after scoring off of a Minnesota error.
