Gainesville, FL – The Maryland track and field squads competed on day two of the Florida Relays in Gainesville Florida.

On day two, the Terps continued to put forth strong performances.

Women's Notes:

• Jayla Bynum (15.30m) had a top ten result in the shot put. 

• Tolu Akinduro jumped 11.82m in the triple jump for a season best. 

• Alyssa Miller hurdled to a 14.34s finish in the 100h.

• Kami Joi Hickson posted a personal best performance in the 800m running 2:10.75. Mackenzie Morgan, 2:12.32 also had a strong race in the 800m.

• Lydia Robling sprinted to a 56.02 finish in the 400m.

• Alyssa Miller and Michaela Bracken competed in the high jump for the Terps.

Men's Notes:

• Jeff Kline (18.66m) took fourth in the college invitational shot put.

• Eric Albright set a new personal best in the 800m running 1:50.34. Chase McGeehan had a strong race running 1:51.28. Solomon Lawrence ran a season best (1:52.33) in the 800m. 

• Drake Murphy (14.50) and Brandon Turpin (14.99) competed in the 110m hurdles. 

• Rhys Allen threw 47.51m in the discus throw. 

• Ako Hislop sprinted to a 10.55s finish in the 100m. Joe Ewan finished in 10.69s.

• Gerald Norgbe reached 14.44m in the triple jump finals.

"It is good to see the team continue to improve week after week. This outdoor season holds a lot of opportunities to perform."
