No. 21 Terps Drop Big Ten Opener To No. 13 Michigan

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- The shorthanded No. 21 Terps were not able to keep up with No. 13 Michigan in the Big Ten opener, dropping the match 38-3.

Fifth-ranked Jaxon Smith earned a hard-fought 5-2 victory over No. 29 Bobby Striggow. Smith is 9-2 this season with wins over four ranked wrestlers.

Maryland was without three regular starters Kal Miller (141), Dom Solis (174) and Seth Nevills (285).
