Leading the way for the Terps is second-seeded Jaxon Smith. Smith finished in third place at 197 at last year's Big Ten, the highest finish for a Maryland wrestler since 2019.

Braxton Brown (133), Kal Miller and Ethen Miller (149) are also making their second consecutive Big Ten Championships appearance. The three finished in ninth, ninth, and eighth respectively as the Miller brothers took home automatic bids to the NCAA Championships last year while Brown earned an at-large bid.

Fifth-seeded Seth Nevills will make his second Big Ten Championships appearance and the first since 2020. Dom Solis, a 2022 Big Ten placer, slots in at the 11th-seeded. 

The conference championship gets underway Saturday, March 9 at the XFINITY Center in College Park and will run through Sunday, March 10.

All 14 conference schools will participate in the championships with the first-round, quarterfinal, semifinal and wrestleback matches taking place during Sessions I and II Saturday. Action continues Sunday with consolation semifinals and seventh-place matches getting underway during Session III and the first-, third- and fifth-place matches highlighting Session IV.
